On Friday, December 2nd, The General Assembly of the Business Group linked to the CFAA took place in the Center for Advanced Manufacturing in Aeronautics (CFAA) located in the Science and Technology Park of Bizkaia in Zamudio. The General Assembly among other things, approved the incorporation of new members.
The meeting took place in the “Plácido Rodal” meeting room, responsible for ITP Manufacturing Technologies, the one who had the idea of creating a CFAA, and promoted it in the early years but passed away on February 21st of 2015.
The Association (officially called Business Group for the Development of Advanced Aeronautical Manufacturing Techniques ) aims to collaborate in the research and development of advanced manufacturing technologies, as well as in the transfer of results from R & D to the industrial agents themselves, through concrete projects using the CFAA facilities.
The CFAA is a mixed center attached to the UPV / EHU, constituted by the Business Association, together with the UPV / EHU, the Basque Business Development Agency (SPRI Group), the Council of Bizkaia and the Science and Technology Park of Bizkaia whose official inauguration is expected to take place in the upcoming weeks.
The Assembly approved the incorporation of MIZAR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING, S.L., PRAXAIR ESPAÑA, S.L.U, TRIMEK S.A, SYSTEM-ON-CHIP ENGINEERING, S.L. as a limited member.(SOC-e)

Finally, a technological collaboration agreement was also signed between the Group and SIEMENS, S.A. In its Digital, Process and Drives Divisions, which joins an already existing agreement between the Association and the HEGAN and AFM associations.
